Where is Ham I Am! located?

We are located in Dallas, however we do not have a retail location, but we do ship year round all over the country.  If you are in the Dallas area, you may be able to find our products at Central Market (seasonally at select locations), or Jimmy's Food Store in East Dallas. 

How long will it take to receive my order?

We process orders for same day shipping Monday through Wednesday, if your order is placed by 1 pm, CST.  If your order is placed after 1 pm it will ship the next Standard Shipping day, which would be the following Monday.  We ship on Thursday as well, but the only shipping option is Overnight.

Can I choose my delivery date?

Yes--in most cases and to some extent.  We offer the option to choose your desired delivery date and we do our best to get it there by the date you've requested. 

In the event that you choose a date that is not possible, (or requires Overnight shipping yet you did not choose the Overnight option), we reserve the right to use our best judgement to adjust the ship date so your order is delivered as close to your desired date as possible; most of the time prior to the date you chose--we would rather it arrive a little early, than late and not arrive in time for your party or event. 

If it must arrive by a certain date we recommend telling us when you need it, you can add it to the "Comments" during checkout and we will contact you if there are any issues delivering it by that date. 

How will my order ship?  Can you explain the shipping charges?

We have taken great care to ensure that your order arrives in good condition and ready to enjoy; all of our perishable products ship in a styrofoam cooler box with gel ice pack(s). 

Our Standard Shipping arrives within 3 business days in most cases.  The Standard Shipping charge is a flat rate based on the items ordered.  (Unfortunately there are some limitations to our website, if we are able to combine items to reduce the charges we will make the adjustment to your order when we receive it and notify you as well.  If it seems high the items may have to ship in separate packages.) Standard Shipping can vary and may be UPS and/or FedEx, and the method may vary based on your location, we ship Ground, 3 Day, or 2 Day Air, at our discretion.  Standard shipping is available on most of our products, most of the year, however, in the peak of the summer months some products may have to ship Overnight due to extreme heat.   

I want it delivered on Monday, can you ship it over the weekend? 

No, Wednesday or Thursday is the earliest day of the week that your order can be delivered via Standard Shipping.  UPS and FEDEX does not count Saturdays and Sundays as transit days, this means that your order will not make any progress in it's journey to you over the weekend, and it will not begin moving again until Monday, this is simply too long for perishable products to be out of refrigeration. 

Can you deliver my order on Tuesday?

Sure, we are able to ship on Monday, Overnight to arrive on Tuesday, there will be an additional $20 fee to upgrade to Overnight Shipping. 

What do I do when my shipment arrives?

All of our smoked meats are perishable.  Refrigerate or Freeze upon arrival; please see below for handling instructions specific to your product.

Ham and Bacon:  Refrigerate on arrival.  The cryovac wrap that it is sealed in allows for a shelf life of 4 weeks, we recommend freezing it for up to 1 year if you do not plan on eating it within 4 weeks of receipt.  After opening, enjoy or freeze leftovers within 7-10 days.  

Turkey:  If you do not plan on enjoying your turkey within 5-7 days of receipt we recommend freezing it.  After opening enjoy within 7-10 days.  Can be frozen for up to a year. 

Quail:  If you do not plan on enjoying your quail within 2-3 days of receipt we recommend freezing it until you are ready to cook them.  Quail can be frozen for up to 6 months. 

My order arrived frozen, what do I do with it now? 

If you are not planning on enjoying it right away keep it frozen.  If you would like to serve it soon and if time allows, it is ideal to defrost it in the refrigerator (can take 3-4 days for a whole ham).  If you are in a hurry, you can also defrost it using a cold water bath.  Please reference the following for USDA recommendations:
